Blogger Recognition Award

Blogger Recognition Award

So, after 3 weeks of blogging, I finally hit my first award, the Blogger Recognition Award! I’m thankful to Natalie Lynn at for nominating me for this award. This really gave me a boost!

So, as per the instructions, the nominated members should follow some rules.

Below are the rules for my 15 nominees

1.  Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog

2.  Write a post to show your award

3.  Give a brief story of how your blog started

4.  Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers

5.  Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award

6.  Notify each blogger and let them know you have nominated them and provide the link to the post you created.

If I had two pieces of advice I would give fellow bloggers when starting out, it’s this:

Though I’m a new blogger, I’d suggest you to understand your audience better than they understand themselves. It takes a lot of upfront research, and often means being a member of the very tribe you’re trying to lead – but it pays off. It takes time! But as i said, it pays off!

Don’t be afraid to showcase what you know. Too many bloggers hold back the good stuff out of fear of giving away the “secret sauce.” There is no secret sauce in a world where everyone has high speed Internet access at all times. Today, you want to give away information snacks to sell knowledge meals.

How it all began

So, you guys might have known this website, Quora. I’ve started writing some answers over there initially. The first ever answer answer of mine allured 54 views. That was the beginning of a long journey for me. I consistently wrote answers and people started to appreciate me. I was like, “Well, there’s something interesting about me”. Fast forward, I wrote 292 answers with 116 questions. Well, you might be thinking “What’s interesting about this?”.

Okay, I was banned from Quora! One of my answers which allured 3785 upvotes and 25k views ( remember, 54 was my first number ) was collapsed. I appealed, but they rejected. So, I wrote the same answer to another question. What I find in my inbox the next morning? “Quora moderation banned you from editing on Quora”. You know how that would impact, right? With over 500k+ views, 10k+ upvotes and 312 followers in the bag.

So, I decided, why should one judge my writings? And that’s the reason why I’m onto blogging. Well, I’m really happy that I’m doing what I love today! And I also opened another account on Quora. Here is the link. Link to my banned account. That was a brief story of mine.

So, here’s the list you’ve been waiting for. – The blog layout is super cool with easy navigation. – Very useful information in there. – Wow! Variety of posts out there.
